Wigan Athletic Supporters Club has to announce the postponement of our Annual Dinner 2014. Due to a few things happening over the weekend that were out of our control, we will not be able to host the Re-Uniting of the 1999 team in celebration of the last ever league game at Springfield Park.

But there is some good news, we will still be bringing back the team of 1999, but the new date will be Saturday 10th May 2014, at 7.00p.m.

As before we will be bringing many of the team that played the last game at Springfield Park, names such as these will be invited as the VIP guests on the night:

Roy Carroll, David Lowe, Kevin Sharp, Stuart Barlow, David Lee, Pat McGibbon, Michael O Neill, Scott Green, Colin Greenall, Carl Bradshaw, Paul Rogers, Roberto Martinez and Graham Jones. The manager Ray Matthias and the Match Referee will also be asked to come along with the night hosted by Ian Cheeseman and Paul Rowley and Guest interviewer will be Neill Rimmer.

We will be serving up a feast of Traditional Cottage Pie, Topped with a Spring Onion and Cheddar Mash or a vegetarian option of Root Vegetable Hot Pot with Short Crust Pastry, both accompanied with Buttered Baby New Potatoes Tossed with Herbs, Lancashire Carrots and Swede. There will be a side of Crusty Bread and Butter plus a Selection of Pickles and Desert will be a Traditional Apple Pie and Cream.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause and understand that people who have already bought tickets may not be able to make the rearranged date and if so please come and see us in the Supporters Club Bar on Friday before the Reading game.

We also understand that there were many that couldn’t make this Thursday and so the date might be much better for them, if so please use the booking from below or come to see us in the Supporters Club Bar before the Reading or Blackpool games.
