2013 was a very good year for Wigan Athletic as we know, winning the most famous Cup in the World has etched our Club’s name in the history books for all time.
But it wasn’t just Latics that were making the headlines as several other Sports in the Town also excelled….
To celebrate the borough’s sporting achievements in 2013, the piazza (in front of Life Centre North in Wigan town centre) is being renamed to Believe Square.
A special event will take place on Thursday 7th August to mark the occasion, beginning at 11am and finishing at 4pm. There’ll be entertainment, including a Believe Talent Show, face painter, an art wall for visitors to colour in, a live band, and mascots and players from Latics and Warriors giving away signed freebies. The unveiling of the official signs and a timeline will take place at 2pm.
Here’s a schedule,
