Here is a quick update of some of the latest news from here at the National Football Museum.

Our exhibition Game Changers: 125 Years of the Football League closes at the end of August so it’s the very last chance to see insightful and rare team and player mementoes such as letters from George Best written to his sister.

September sees the start of the first Manchester Football Writing Festival bringing some of the sport’s best writers to the city – for anyone with an interest in sports writing this certainly is a must!

The museum also plays host to a football shirt amnesty to help transform the lives of children working and living on the streets – just bring in your old football shirts to help make a difference to children across the world.

There’s a little more information below and it would be great if you could share this via your channels and with fellow supporters.

If you’d like any further information or have any questions about anything going on here at the museum just let me know and I’d be more than happy to help.

Shirt Amnesty for Street Child World Cup

We’re asking fans from across the country to dig out their old shirts this season and help make a difference to the lives of homeless children across the world.
In conjunction with Street Child World Cup we’ve launched our Football Shirt Amnesty. Bring or send your unloved shirt to the museum and you could help Street Child World Cup use football to help transform the lives of children living and working on the streets.
Plus, anyone who donates will be given £5 off a purchase of a new shirt from our friends at Campo Retro.
