Now the New Year has well and truly kicked in, do you feel a little sluggish and maybe a bit heavier than you was before?

Wigan Athletic Community Trust have been running a programme called Fit Fans for a few years now in which men who want to get fitter, lose weight, kick bad habits or just want to socialise with other Latics fans whilst benefitting from a superb training course.

Chris will be in the Supporters Club today to enrol and answer any question before the Blackburn game from about 2.15 p.m.

Do you want to improve your fitness and get in shape after over indulging this Christmas?

Fit Fans, a men’s health scheme exclusively provided by Wigan Athletic Community Trust, could be the perfect way for you to get fit and active this January!

The 12 week programme has helped hundreds of men over the age of 25 to lose weight, eat healthier and to play more sport since it was introduced in 2012.

Wigan Council’s Director of Public Health, Professor Kate Ardern said: “We are passionate about our sporting heritage in Wigan and recognise that local sports clubs have an important role to play in improving the health of local communities.

“Fit Fans provides an opportunity to reach people that may not access health services in the traditional way and it is fantastic to see the positive impact that this is having on the health of local people”
