Kick It Out, football’s equality and inclusion organisation, is seeking to recruit a Media and Communications Manager to lead on the press and public relations profile of the campaign.
The role will involve developing and managing strategic media relations to maintain and increase Kick It Out’s profile; both inside and outside professional, amateur and grassroots football.
The successful applicant will work closely with Kick It Out’s Chair, Director and Trustees, as well as the football authorities and other stakeholders, and have the ability to communicate confidently with senior government staff, partner agencies and members of the media.
Experience of liaising with, and briefing journalists, as well as demonstrable experience of crisis media management situations, are essential. A proven commitment to equality, inclusion and the aims and values of Kick It Out is also required.
Leveraging existing media contacts as well as developing new relationships, the successful applicant will be the point of contact for a range of press and PR enquiries relating to all areas of the organisation. The role will extend to cover elements of marketing, as well as corporate relations.
The role will be based at the Kick It Out office in London.
