I have attached a copy (below) of our ‘How to get to SportsDirect.com Park’ PDF for you to deliver to your supporters should you so wish. Please note that our main car park is currently being redeveloped and as such match day parking on site is SEVERELY restricted. Again you may wish to pass this information on to your supporters prior to our fixture.
Please also note that from Season 2015/16 onwards visiting supporters have been relocated to the Zen Office Chadderton Road Stand (‘Chaddy End’) at SportsDirect.com Park. This is the stand at the ‘bottom end’ of the ground and directly opposite the traditional away end. As such I attach a basic stadium plan (visitors area marked in ‘red’) for your information and which you may wish to use with any pre match publicity. Please also be advised that we recommend that any disabled supporters access the stadium via turnstiles 36-39 from the main car park adjacent to our North Stand which is under development.
In keeping with a number of clubs we are running an initiative what we refer to as “Bench Buddies” for supporters of both clubs here on a matchday.
On Saturday, a steward will select a family from the away supporters section to sit in the away team dug out as the teams warm up; we also replicate this with a family of home supporters who watch from the home dugout.
We will take their photo for them and send it to them as a keepsake of their special day. With their permission, we will also post this to our social media sites. This has proven to be extremely successful and a truly special moment for supporters.
