We have had information from Leicester regarding some major works that effect the route into and out of the Kingpower Stadium, this of course will effect our travelling supporters on Saturday.

The advice is to give yourselves plenty of time to avoid arriving late as routes will be very busy, Click here for the map, the arrows facing down the page is the route into the stadium from the motorway and it is advised that supporters avoid this route if at all possible.

The other route to the Stadium from Junction 21 on the M1 is on the A5460, this will take you into the City but there are major road works from the motorway island at junction 21 down to the next island which is the Fosse Park Shopping area.

The A426 Lutterworth Road in Aylestone between Soar Valley Way and Middleton Street will be closed from 12 July until around the end of October, as work on the installation of a new bus lane takes place.

As this is one of the main routes to the stadium, there is likely to be disruption for those supporters arriving at the ground from the M1 and M69 motorways, with increased traffic expected on Narborough Road as supporters seek an alternative route.

In addition to work taking place on the A426, the Highways Agency will also be carrying out improvement works at junction 21 of the M1 motorway, commencing on Monday 22 July and continuing for a period of 19 weeks.

Work includes widening of the southbound exit slip and will require the closure of the M1 southbound exit slip, the roundabout and the M69 at various times to ensure the swift and safe completion of work.

We have been to let fans know that alcohol will be served in the concourse of the away end on Saturday.
