After a tremendous performance against Norwich this weekend, we now look forward to the Leeds United game at Elland Road.

Two teams at the opposite ends of the table and two teams with a lot at stake. Leeds will be looking to seal the deal to get themselves automatic promotion, whilst Wigan will be looking to get those vital points that will see us over the line to play next season in the Championship.

A quick look at the odds on comparison site amazing.bet sees that Leeds are favourites to win the game and promotion to the Premiership, but that was said about Norwich and we showed we can certainly mix it with these top teams.

Our away form of course is a big concern, but ‘we are due a win’ and at Elland Road the nerves could play a  big part, the team that holds theirs will probably win.

Our last away game of the season is at Birmingham, sandwiched in between our final home games against Preston and Millwall. The Blues had a 10 points deduction which brought them into the relegation mix, but they have since secured some good results to move them out of immediate danger.

Going into these final four games it looks like Ipswich and Bolton will occupy the bottom 2 places and the third place will be fought out by Rotherham (40), Millwall (42), us (42) and Reading (44).

Rotherham have Swansea (A), Birmingham (H), West Brom (A) and Middlesboro (H)

Millwall have Brentford (H), Aston Villa (A), Stoke (H), Bristol City (H) and Wigan Athletic (A)

Reading  are at Bristol City (A), West Brom (H), Middlesboro (A) and Birmingham (H)

In short it is going to be very tight and Latics need as much support as possible to get behind the lads both home and away.

Wigan Athletic Supporters Club are running coaches to the final two games and hope everyone that can go will do. Please see the coach booking page for the full details. We also have big games at home too, why not come and join us in the South Stand Bar before  the Championship match against Preston North End on Easter Monday. Coach bookings will also be taken then for Birmingham if you can’t do it online.
