COVOD-19 Lockdown continues

The Coronavirus Pandemic is tragically claiming far too many lives and only we can stop it. The virus can only exist whilst it has new hosts to breed on.

6 months ago, we as Wigan Athletic fans were looking at how we were going get ourselves out of the relegation zone and up to safety. Little did we know that after getting ourselves out, we would be hit with this horrible virus.

It brings home the fact that some things are much bigger than football, sport, work and our social lives in general. This virus is an invisible killer and we all need to respect the need for us ALL to keep to ourselves so the COVID-19 has nowhere to go.

Follow the rules:

Firstly stay home, only go out if you can work safely or when you need to exercise, look after the vulnerable or shop for essentials.

There also easy, common sense things you can do if you are exercising or going to the shops. For instance, get on social media and see if everyone in your community will walk on the left side of the roads that have pavements/footpaths on both sides. This sounds silly until you think about what that results in. If everyone walked on the left side of the road, no-one should pass each other, therefore not giving the virus a chance to infect.

All in all, if we are to come out of this quickly we need to stay away form each other, to help save lives and help to ease the strain on the NHS.
