The inevitable tier 3 restrictions that were imposed on Greater Manchester have put a hold on crowds coming to the DW Stadium until at least Boxing Day now

Latics supporters will now have the option to purchase merchandise online and collect from Latics Store at the DW Stadium, with the store’s click and collect service resuming on Monday 23 November.

Duo extend Wigan Athletic contracts as defender departs

Comings and goings latest
Wigan Athletic defender Josh Clarke left as the club extended the contracts for winger Viv Solomon-Otabor and midfielder Dan Gardner until January 2021. The duo’s contracts were due to expire in the first week of October. In summer, that was full of movements in English clubs fans were following closely. There is still room for movement within British clubs as the window is still open.

We are pleased to share the news that an unnamed bidder has now progressed to the next stage of exclusivity with the joint administrators. Although there remains a long way to go in this process, the Supporters Club has made contact with the bidder and we are currently in discussions regarding the future involvement of the supporters at Wigan Athletic, should their bid be successful.

RIP Roy “Spike” Highton 1960 – 2020

RIP Spike
It is with sadness that we share the news of the passing of Roy “Spike” Highton, who was Treasurer of the Supporters Club for over 30 years.

At Springfield Park a small band of stalwart Latics fans became the first independent providers of travel to away games for supporters. Very quickly the Official Supporters Club was formed and years of away travel, legendary weekenders and social events began. Spike was a founding member of the first committee of the Supporters Club.
