Stanleys perform in aid of Save Wigan Athletic

On Friday September, Wigan’s Stanleys will stream an exclusive performance – ‘Live at the DW Stadium’.

Filmed in recent weeks, the performance is the culmination of numerous highly successful releases in recent weeks, including isolation recordings of A Better Life, The Martyr and a cover of Oasis’ The Importance of Being Idle. The performance follows the release of the limited edition A Better Life/Measured in Gold double A-side 7” vinyl – a release that sold out within 10 minutes.

Streaming via Liverpool Sound City’s Guest House platform, the performance will be available to fans on a one-off basis for a cost of £6. Any fans holding a ticket for the rescheduled Liverpool show at Sound will be able to access the stream for free, as will Latics supporters, who can enter the code BETTERLIFE1 at the checkout on guesthouselive.co.uk/stanleys

The stream will be followed up with the release of a limited-edition coloured vinyl titled ‘Stanleys – Live at the DW Stadium’. A limited-edition T-shirt will also be released mark the performance, with a share of proceeds to be donated to Wigan Athletic Supporters  Club’s ‘Save Our Club’ campaign.

The band adds “We really wanted to do something to support Wigan’s ‘Save Our Club’ campaign and to say thanks for the support that they’ve offered us in the past. There’s a couple of new songs on setlist and we can’t wait for the fans to hear them for the first time – we’re hoping that the DW Stadium gig can be the start of a very exciting few months for the band.”
