Win a round of golf

As we push on towards the £750k target to help safeguard the future of Wigan Athletic, you and a friend can win the chance to play golf with Latics midfielder Gary Roberts and goalkeeper Jamie Jones

That’s right, this is your opportunity to play 18 holes with Gary and Jamie at the fantastic Allerton Manor Golf Club in South Liverpool. Just Donate £5 to go itno the draw at the crowdfunder page here.

Set in the  woodlands of the Allerton Manor estate, the Championship golf course has benefitted from extensive investment and development in recent years and has been awarded ‘Outstanding’ accreditation by GolfShake.com.

As well as playing four-ball with Gary and Jamie, you and a friend will be treated to coffee and bacon sandwiches half way round the course!

For your chance to win this amazing money-can’t-buy prize, everyone who donates just £5 to the fund before 5pm on Friday 18th September will be entered into a draw!

Gary Roberts joined Latics in 2017 and boasts more than 500 career appearances. Prior to moving to the DW Stadium, the attacking midfielder enjoyed spells at Accrington Stanley, Ipswich Town, Crewe Alexandra, Huddersfield Town and Swindon Town before linking up with Paul Cook at Chesterfield and then Portsmouth. He has won five promotions in his career, was voted League Two Player of The Year in 2014 – and even scored a 70 yard goal for Swindon earlier in his football life!

Jamie Jones arrived at Latics in August 2017 after his contract at Stevenage ended. An excellent shot-stopper who commands his box well, he boasts over 300 career appearances. Jones began his professional career at Everton but didn’t make a first-team appearance for the Toffees as he played understudy during the Tim Howard era. He moved to Leyton Orient in 2008 and went on to play 179 times for the Brisbane Road club before moving to Preston North End in 2014, where he played 17 times.

The date and time that the prize will take place is TBA. Find out more about Allerton Manor Golf Club here and take a tour of the course you and a friend could be playing on! Allerton Manor is located just 10 minutes from the end of the M62 and close to Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
