The Club has had a letter sent directly to FA and Wigan Athletic praising the behaviour and numbers of our fans.
The Police Commissioner said he was delighted at the attitude and manner in which our fans conducted themselves and said we did our town and country proud.
I must admit, when I arrived in the square on Thursday morning to see a smouldering bar/restaurant that had been set on fire the night before, I wondered what had gone on. Apparently though, it was an arson attack totally unrelated to Wigan fans or the football game, but some vendetta, according to the paper the next day.
On behalf of Wigan Athletic Supporters Club, we thank everybody for creating such a superb atmosphere, it is how away games should be and hopefully we can emulate this many times this season and in the years to come.
