Shiny and New
After the great memories the 10th Anniversary celebrations gave us, of Wigan Athletic winning the FA Cup, over the weekend of 11th to 14th May 2023, we noted comments made by Official Supporters Club members over the state our Replica Cup was in.
As you will see from the pictures the Trophy was looking dull, the lid was bent, and both the top and bottom of the Cup were badly dented. So we asked the Club if we could get it refurbished, and they snatched our hands off.
The Cup was duly handed over to Standards of the Wiend, Wigan, and the 3 week process of reshaping and polishing the Trophy commenced.
It was collected this week, and what a difference. The Trophy has come back looking like new. Lid straightened, dents hammered out and a shiny polish. Standards Trophies have done us proud.
The Trophy is now back, pride of place in the Trophy Cabinet at the Stadium, for all of us to enjoy again..
